2004 Paralympic Games: Yesterday, today and tomorrow
June 18, 2003 (Toronto, ON) – As the 2004 Games in Athens approach, attention turns to the challenges faced by the Paralympic Games and its athletes in terms of accessibility during the events.
Patrick Jarvis, President of the Canadian Paralympic Committee (CPC), discusses the history of the Games, what Paralympians can expect in Athens next year and the 2010 Winter Olympic Games Vancouver bid with VoicePrint’s Steve Brown. “Patrick shares his insight about the Games both as President of the CPC and as a former competitive athlete,” says VoicePrint Manager Andy Frank.
The interview with Patrick Jarvis will air Saturday,
June 21 and July 12, 2003 starting at 1 PM on VoicePrint as part of the
Pfizer Canada series ‘Ability Today’. The Pfizer Canada series
is a monthly series produced by VoicePrint to spotlight the Paralympic
Movement and the 12th Summer Paralympic Games to be held in Athens next
year.
