News and Press ReleasesVoicePrint Wins Program Awards Again This Year!June 7th,2003 (Toronto, ON) VoicePrint won two awards and three honourable mentions at the The International Association of Audio Information Services (IAAIS) Awards Banquet. “We’re thrilled to have our Canadian programming recognized by an organization whose members are our colleagues throughout the USA and abroad”, says VoicePrint Manager Andy Frank. The winning categories were “Thematic Production” – Described Programming Spots recorded and voiced by volunteer Valerie Hunter and “Public Awareness” – On the Road with VoicePrint: Northern Ontario. The latter was one segment of VoicePrint’s pilot outreach program funded in part by the Ontario Trillium Foundation. Honourable Mentions are given to entries that score within one to 1 ½ points of the winning entry. VoicePrint earned Honourable Mentions in “Thematic Production” – Canadian National Exhibition History Spots, “Information” – The AudioVision Canada Catalogue and “Narrative Reading” – Alberta Beat: King Ralph. This year’s IAAIS Conference and Awards Banquet were hosted by Sun Sounds of Arizona – Phoenix. VoicePrint is planning to host the Conference and Banquet in 2004 or 2005. VoicePrint is a not-for-profit media charity, established in 1989, to
